Nursing Asst Cert DOW at Beacon Health System – Dowagiac , Michigan

Assists with patients/participants care activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Accommodates patients/participants with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patients/participants rooms clean and orderly.
• Monitors patients/participants environment for safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate, as needed.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
