Position Overview
Be the eyes and ears of a high-priority defense production effort.
Blackrock Strategy is seeking a Production Operations Liaison to work directly within an active manufacturing environment, supporting real-time production visibility and delivery readiness.
Embedded on the production floor, this role focuses on tracking manufacturing progress, identifying risks early, and delivering clear, accurate insight to leadership and government stakeholders.
This role directly supports customer visibility into production execution and plays a key part in ensuring delivery readiness for critical defense systems.

Production activity, dependencies, and bottlenecks are accurately tracked
The liaison operates as a trusted, independent presence within the production environment
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a full-time, on-site presence within a production facility
Monitor manufacturing activity, production flow, and throughput
Develop situational awareness of production status, schedule performance, and supply chain constraints
Identify bottlenecks, delays, and risks impacting delivery timelines
Track system completion status and production dependencies
Gather information directly from manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams
Provide clear, concise updates to leadership and government stakeholders
Translate floor-level observations into actionable summaries
Coordinate across manufacturing, logistics, and program stakeholders
Escalate risks and execution challenges early to support decision-making
Track material flow, supplier impacts, and key dependencies
Required Qualifications
3–8+ years of relevant experience in defense, manufacturing, logistics, or production environments
Experience working in or around production floors or industrial environments
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Costpoint, Oracle, etc.)
Strong ability to gather, assess, and communicate operational information clearly and concisely
Ability to operate independently while prioritizing competing production demands
Comfortable working in a production environment with frequent interaction across manufacturing, logistics, and program teams
U.S. Citizenship required
Currently possess or can obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting defense production, fielding, or integration efforts
Background in aerospace, unmanned systems, or mission systems
Experience with production planning, logistics coordination, or operational readiness activities
Experience in military operations, logistics, maintenance, or readiness functions is preferred, but not required
Experience preparing executive updates, briefings, or status reports
Ability to build credibility quickly in technical and operational environments
Important Note
This is not a hands-on engineering role, but it does require a strong awareness of manufacturing and supply chain processes and an understanding of how work moves through a production system.
This position is aligned to mid-level professionals with hands-on experience in production, logistics, or defense program environments.
Work Environment
This position requires full-time, on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama, embedded within an active production environment supporting defense program activities.
The role involves regular interaction with technical teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders, and operates in a fast-paced environment where maintaining awareness of program execution, production status, and delivery readiness is critical.
Language Skills
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate information in English, including production documentation, technical instructions, safety procedures, and government-related guidance.
Ability to prepare clear, concise written updates, summaries, and reports for leadership and government stakeholders.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to identify and assess operational issues by gathering information from multiple sources, analyzing production and supply chain data, and applying sound judgment.
Capable of translating observations into actionable insights, including identifying risks, bottlenecks, and impacts to schedule or delivery.
