Deadlines forapplication as a student intern are as follows:
- June 30 - Deadline for Fall Semester Placement
- Oct. 31 - Deadline for Spring Semester Placement
- March 31 - Deadline for Summer Term Placement
RESPONSIBILITIES
The StudentIntern undertakes a professional role designed to provide on-the-jobtraining and experience to students fulfilling curriculum requirements. Engagesin various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity,structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills andabilities needed to perform at a professional level. Receives training andmentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
COMPENSATION: This is an UNPAID internship position.
Schedule:
- Must have good attendance and begin workday at assigned time.
QUALIFICATIONS -Student Intern
Education:
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in child & family studies, early childhood education, social work, psychology, sociology, or other related field.
Experience / Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, Confidentiality and appropriate client/staff boundaries.
Physical:
- Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
- Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Interns should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
