About This Position
The PA will provide quality care and related services for surgical patients in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative setting under the supervision of the attending surgeon. The PA’s primary responsibility is to assist the surgeon in the OR as a first or second assistant. They may also assist Medical or surgical patients as outlined below. The PA will have direct reporting responsibility to the attending physician for all duties rendered to the patient. Credentialing for surgical assistant will pertain to Orthopedics, Urology, Gynecologic/Obstetric, General and Bariatric services.
Qualifications:
Physician Assistant Degree, required. Certification by NCCPA, preferred. Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of New York, required. Current BLS & ACLS Certification, required
Salary: $110,000-$150,000 annually
Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm with on-call responsibilities
