About This Position

ABOUT CENTRO DE LA FAMILIA (CDLF)
CDLF provides outpatient behavorial health services for families and individuals of all ages. The program offers therapy services to those living with serious mental illness, general mental health issues, and substance abuse issues. These issues can be related to depression, anxiety, relationships, loss, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts and trauma from sexual, emotional, and/or physical abuse. Outpatient services offer flexible office hours and home-based services for children and their families, public transit accessibility, therapy in English and Spanish, and professional staff who utilize best practice models for treatment.

IN-PERSON:
This position will be performed primarily in-person, on-site, in Phoenix, AZ.


OBJECTIVE
Ensure the efficient and accurate management of medical records by maintaining organized systems, upholding confidentiality, and providing reliable administrative support that enhances overall clinic operations and client satisfaction.


POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, this role organizes and maintains medical records, ensures compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations, and supports administrative operations within the clinic. The Medical Records Clerk actively contributes to the clinic’s efficiency by managing record workflows, retrieving and storing files as needed, and fostering a professional and client-focused environment.

This role works with the Electronic Medical Record system regularly and handles confidential client information as needed, including responding to legal requests for medical records. This role supports clinical and admin staff with proper documentation, confirmation of member appointments and verification of member insurance benefits. Additionally, they provide front desk coverage, including, but not limited to: answer phones, schedule appointments, provide assistance to members in the clinic, check-in member for their appointments, schedule transportation, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Education /Background:
  • Must provide a clean criminal record with an active, valid level 1 fingerprint clearance card
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver's license and auto insurance
  1. Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional (Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
  • Excellent word processing, database, and file management skills
  • Ability to navigate the current EMR system
  • Good working knowledge of office equipment and procedures (computers, photocopiers, printers, fax machines, mailing equipment, telephone systems, filing systems, etc.)
