Position Summary:
The OW Packer will effectively coordinate their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitors any issues, and ensures product is developed successfully, and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
  • General Labor employee will need to implement proper procedures for the Packaging department.
  • Ensures a complete understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and SQF guidelines.
  • Ensures they know and understand the process for De-clipped summer product at the de-clipping stations.
  • Know and understand the process for inspecting summer products for defects after the de-clipping station.
  • Know and understand the process to load meat product into film pockets.
  • Employee will ensure they know and understand the process to inspect package integrity at the inspection table.
  • Know and understand the process of packaging the product into boxes, following the packaging counts and format.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process of palletizing, following the pallet pattern per product.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure that they know and understand the process of reviewing product labels.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process to load product onto the cutting equipment, based on product size and species.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process of labeling food contact containers accordingly based on the proper product ID.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process of Cover products properly to prevent cross-contamination.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process to Stage product containers, follow proper lot numbers, and species.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process to load stick product by counts / or weight into film pockets.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process of inspecting stick packages at the inspection table.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process to package stick packages following the packaging format.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process to palletize, following the stick pallet pattern.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process of performing sanitarian tasks as assigned. Help Maintaining packaging rooms in clean conditions.
  • General Labor employees will need to be familiar with and understand the process of stocking PPE in designated areas.
  • General Labor employees will need to ensure they know and understand the process to perform product checks during production runs to ensure proper package integrity and quality specs are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Education & Experience:
  • Able to professionally communicate with cross-functional departments.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
  • Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.


  • Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary
  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be highly attentive to detail (i.e., meat type/film/date).



  • Pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
