INVENTORY AND EXPRESS STORE TECHNICIAN at Power Drives Inc – Rochester, New York

Objective: Create an exceptional customer experience in our retail store through solving customer problems, by creating hose assemblies and/or finding the parts and products to meet their needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service experience
• Hands-On Technical or Mechanical Aptitude (Preferred).

• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Basic Mathematical and Measurement Skills.
• Engage with customers and make them feel welcome in our stores.
• Be an expert on our product line in order to provide the correct solutions to our customers – every time.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to load and unload trucks with attention to safety and product quality.
• This position will travel to the other Buffalo store up to 20% amount of time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create/Build Customer Relationships through friendly and knowledgeable engagement with the customer.
• Identify the type of hose and fittings the customer needs. Cut, fit and assemble hose and fittings, and inspect
• completed assemblies.
• Use a variety of hand tools (wrench, hammer, handsaw, pneumatic wrench, hand grinder, power drill, calipers) and shop equipment (hose crimp machine, reusable hose assembly equipment, hose test machine, hose cut off saw, grinder, forklift, hydraulic shop press, welder, acetylene torch, pressure washer, drill press, band saw, parts cleaner).
• Use creative solutions to meet customer needs, suggestive sell other products, and offer recommendations.
• Prepare sales or work orders, both manually and computer generated.
• Ensure proper inventory by counting, reordering, or shipping materials.
• •Support distribution sales, which includes fulfilling non-store sales.
• Maintain general work area and shop equipment in a clean, neat, and safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range: $18.00-$21.00 an hour.

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
