Medical Assistant in Dearborn, Michigan at Michigan Ophthalmology Specialists

Michigan Oculofacial Specialists (MOS) is a well known Ophthalmology practice that specializes in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. MOS is currently hiring a full-time Medical Assistant team member that will work at both Dearborn and Northville locations - ability to work both locations is required. Full-time schedule will be Monday - Friday (no late evenings or no weekends).

The role of the Medical assistant is to work collaboratively with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced, and complex manual and automated medical tests to allow for proper medical diagnosis.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities will include and not limited to:

Assists patients to exam room, interviews and verifies patient information. Input reason for patient visit, records patient medical history, medications, and diagnosis in EHR. Prepares patient and treatment rooms, accordingly, administers eye drops, takes patient's vision, assists physician within office procedures and perform visual field testing.

• 1-2 years in a Healthcare setting working directly with patients.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program
• Preferred experience in all areas of ophthalmic patient care.
