Job Summary

Midwest Steel Erectors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Foreman to lead a team of skilled workers and subcontractors on structural steel erection projects. The Foreman will oversee day-to-day operations on the job site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is critical in coordinating labor, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines and deliver superior results.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or vocational training preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in structural steel erection or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience as a Foreman or Crew Leader.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of steel erection processes, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using technology for reporting and scheduling (e.g., mobile apps, project management software).
• OSHA 30-hour certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
