Job Description
Electrical Project Manager

Office located in Liberty, Texas.
Summary:
Reporting to the Owner, Project Managers are responsible for contributing to the attainment of the company's objectives and targets within the company's guidelines. They are tasked with ensuring project profitability through effective management and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of project cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting to ensure final project gross margin exceeds estimated margin.
- Manage the change order process from initiation to collection.
- Manage the preparation of pay request breakdowns, monthly pay requests, and payment collection to ensure projects remain cash positive.
- Submit and release purchase packages to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are scheduled timely to meet scope and construction schedules.
- Champion safety compliance by ensuring employees meet or exceed company and customer safety requirements.
- Works closely with clients and supervision to prepare, plan, develop and oversee projects, establish priorities, and assign resources or capital.
- Manage the preparation of pay request breakdowns, monthly pay requests, and payment collection.
- Accountable for the timely and satisfactory completion of profitable projects.
- Responsible for all aspects of project cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting to ensure final project gross margin exceeds estimated margin.
- Monitor and ensure proper job processing, scheduling, and profitability on assigned projects.
- Supervise estimating processes and ensure adherence to company procedures.
- Review and approve estimates and design/build projects within authorized limits.
- Submit and release purchase packages to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are scheduled timely to meet scope and construction schedules.
- Use extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, revisions, and contracts to properly identify and process scope changes, address issues, and communicate regarding project milestones, etc.
- Anticipate and address project related general, technical, and engineering issues.
- Monitor and control the expediting of materials and subcontracts for assigned projects.
- Monitor and address problems relating to job site safety and security for material, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electricity and electrical systems, conductors, and equipment within the commercial, industrial, and residential electrical construction industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop solutions.
- Ensure precision in handling numerical data for reviewing budgets, materials, and time scheduled.
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail to identify errors in written material, numbers, charts, or tables.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strategic thinker who can establish and manage plans while building and fostering relationships.
- Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug testing.
- Most possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record search.
Working Conditions:
- Most work is performed in an office environment with occasional visits to job sites.
- Exposure to elements during job site visits.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
- Able to work 40 hours per week, including overtime and potential out-of-town assignments.
- Extended periods of sitting.
Physical Demands:
- Good hearing and vision (either naturally or with correction).
- Must be able to safely transition in construction work areas and access all levels of buildings, even if the only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
