Job Description
City Supply Corp is a locally owned wholesale distributor of plumbing materials, PVF products, and hydronic heating equipment proudly serving mechanical contractors, plumbing contractors, and service professionals in Iowa since 1952.
We are located just south of downtown Des Moines operating out of a 103,000 square foot office and warehouse.

We are looking for the right candidates to help us move our company forward for many years to come. The right candidate must be willing and able to obtain a valid Class “B” CDL. The successful associate will also pass a pre-employment/post offer drug test and DOT physical. You must be able to repetitively lift up to 70 pounds. This position delivers within the state of Iowa only. We offer a Monday through Friday schedule. Position: Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate
Compensation: $25.97/hour.
This position also has a pension, health & dental care paid for by City Supply.
Requirements:As a member of our warehouse team, you'll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive the right products on time. This position combines local deliveries with warehouse operations, making every day a little different. Responsibilities include:· Safely operate a company delivery vehicle and make timely local deliveries to customers.· Load, unload, and secure materials for transport.· Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately.· Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory.· Assist customers with loading orders and provide friendly, professional service.· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.· Verify orders for accuracy before delivery or customer pickup.· Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if needed).· Communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and dispatch to ensure smooth daily operations.· Assist with general warehouse and operational duties as business needs require.· Represent our company professionally while building positive relationships with customers.
Qualifications:
We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and enjoys being part of a team. Preferred qualifications include:
- Valid Class B CDL (required to be obtained).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
- Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
- Previous warehouse, delivery, or plumbing supply experience is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
