Sr. Proposal Writer

Responsibilities
  • Leads the development of compliant, persuasive RFX proposals by coordinating inputs, drafting and formatting content, and tracking schedules and requirements to meet deadlines. Maintains templates and standard materials to improve proposal efficiency and consistency
  • Lead development of strategic, compliant, and compelling proposal responses for RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other complex client requests.
  • Analyze solicitation documents to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, win themes, risks, and differentiators, and translate findings into response strategy.
  • Lead proposal kickoff calls, content planning sessions, and review cycles (e.g., pink/red/gold team reviews).
  • Partner with sales, solution architects, SMEs, recruiting, legal, and finance to develop accurate and competitive responses.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance requirements, formatting standards, and submission instructions.
  • Lead the development and ongoing management of reusable proposal content, including boilerplate, case studies, past performance, resumes, and solution descriptions.
  • Identify content gaps and coordinate with SMEs to create new standardized, high-impact content assets.
  • Drive content reuse strategy to improve proposal efficiency, scalability, and consistency across submissions.


Qualifications

Knowledge/Skill Max 10

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex proposals and manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and proposal development tools.

  • Experience developing and managing reusable content libraries or knowledge repositories.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferences:

  • Experience supporting public-sector or regulated procurements.
  • Familiarity with RFP/RFI/ITN structures and compliance matrices.
  • Exposure to technology, IT services, or managed services environments.
