Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic executive leader responsible for managing all
aspects of the Finance function. This role involves overseeing accounting operations, driving
financial strategy, and ensuring the fiscal health of the company to support its growth in the
industrial and energy services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Strategy: Manage all aspects of the Finance function,
including direct oversight of Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R),
Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
- Cash Flow & Capital Oversight: Monitor cash flow and manage working capital needs,
including managing existing debt and lines of credit, and exploring new debt and equity
financing options as required.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Create and maintain financial reports to aid in
decision-making and daily management, including Flash Reports, Profit and Loss (P&L),
Balance Sheets, Budgets, and Cash Flow Forecasts.
- Business Partnership: Aid the CEO, COO, and Sales team in evaluating new business
opportunities by providing supporting financial data and analysis on potential ventures.
- Relationship Management: Maintain current and create new relationships with banking,
tax, and financial vendors to optimize the company's financial health.
- Compliance & Financial Risk Management: Ensure financial compliance by managing
the timely filing of sales tax, property tax, payroll tax, insurance documentation, and
workers' compensation.
- Operational Support: Assist in completing required documentation such as Master
Service Agreements (MSAs), insurance claims, and credit applications as needed.
Support business in fast growing environment.
- Communication: Clearly communicate financial data and results to company leadership,
operations, the finance team, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, preferably within the
industrial or energy services industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics; an MBA or CPA
certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and
experience with ERP systems.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop a high-performing accounting and
finance team.
