SUMMARY:
VadaTech, Inc. is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded computing solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the CNC Programmer position. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for designing programs, determining processes, tools, programming (in Master CAM), and setting up. In addition to troubleshooting, improving existing programs, setting up, and operating multi-axis (true 5-axis, 3+2) and CNC (Vertical/Turning) equipment.
Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Use engineering drawings to program CNC part programs, designed parts and assemblies.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting 3D & 2D engineering models.
- Interface directly with Manufacturing Engineering regarding the tooling requirements of individual machined projects.
- Use measuring gauges, including micrometers, calipers, height gauge, depth gauge, and bore gauges.
- Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery.
- Ensure all manufacturing safety & regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Actively practice a culture of 5S (sort, set, order, shine, standardize, and sustain) in the machine shop.
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines according to specifications and quality standards.
- Load, edit, and update CNC programs as required to support production needs and engineering changes.
- Perform machine adjustments and tool offsets to ensure accurate machining operations.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Maintain production records and document program revisions.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Upload and retrieve data; as well as other interactions within the Machine Shop ERP system.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in multi-axis (5-axis) CNC Machining.
- Experience in live tooling CNC Turning.
- Knowledge of machining techniques and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Additional experience with welding, grinding, and waterjet is a plus.
- Experience with ProShop ERP is a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of Mastercam required.
- Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing and its application to the machine shop environment.
- Experience with using standard inspection tools and methods in the evaluation of machined parts.
- Ability to work in both R&D and production rate environments.
ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoors/Engineering Labs/Manufacturing Floor
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to handle and lift objects weighing at least 25 lbs.
