The Housekeeper performs a variety of cleaning and sanitation duties to maintain assigned areas of the facility in a clean, safe, orderly, and attractive condition. This position plays a vital role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents.
After receiving daily assignments, the Housekeeper gathers cleaning supplies and equipment, transports them to assigned work areas, and ensures all supplies are properly returned and work areas are organized at the end of each shift.
Essential ResponsibilitiesClean resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned spaces.
Clean and disinfect windowsills, furnishings, floors, equipment, and high-touch surfaces using approved cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
Vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, and sanitize assigned areas.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
Clean, disinfect, and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors, toilets, and other restroom fixtures.
Restock soap, towels, tissues, cups, and other disposable supplies.
Arrange furniture and equipment to maintain an attractive appearance.
Rotate through designated work areas as assigned.
Assist in the laundry department or other housekeeping-related duties as needed.
Provide friendly and professional customer service when assisting at the front desk during meal and break coverage by answering phones and welcoming residents, families, and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move housekeeping equipment and supplies.
Dependable, punctual, and compassionate with a positive attitude.
