School Psychologist (School-Based)

Location: Tennessee

Job Type: Full-time,W-2

Schedule: 10-month school-year contract

Pay: $70,000-$105,000 per year

About Thrive Therapies Group

Thrive Therapies Group is hiring a School Psychologist to support K-12 students across school-based settings in Tennessee. In this role, you will work with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify student needs, guide eligibility decisions, and help develop supports that improve student outcomes.

This is a strong opportunity for a licensed School Psychologist who values collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and meaningful work in educational settings.

What You'll Do

- Conduct psycho educational evaluations and reevaluations for K-12 students

- Interpret assessment results and provide clear educational recommendations

- Participate in eligibility determination meetings and IEP meetings

- Support students through mental health consultation and crisis response

- Partner with school teams on RTI/MTSS and early intervention efforts

- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers

- Promote culturally responsive and equitable evaluation practices

- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation

Qualifications

- Active School Psychologist license, certification, or credential required based on Tennessee state and district requirements

- Experience conducting psycho educational assessments in school-based or pediatric settings preferred

- Knowledge of special education processes, eligibility determination, and IEP development

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families

Preferred Experience

- K-12 school-based experience

- Experience with RTI/MTSS frameworks

- Familiarity with crisis support and mental health consultation in schools

- Experience supporting diverse student populations
