Prince Lumber is looking for an experienced CDL Boom Operator who knows how to safely operate a truck-mounted articulating or knuckle-boom crane. You will deliver and place lumber and other building materials for customers throughout the Tri-state area.

Earn $32 – $36 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay and frequent opportunities to pick up overtime based on business needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Drive a boom truck on local and regional delivery routes.
• Operate an articulating boom loader to unload and place heavy construction materials.
• Rig and hoist lumber, plywood, doors, and related products safely.
• Work with the Warehouse team to verify each order before leaving for delivery.
• Evaluate load weights, boom capacity, stability, and overhead clearance.
• Protect surrounding buildings, utility wires, equipment, and customer property.
• Complete truck and boom inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and all required safety procedures.
• Collect customer signatures and proof-of-delivery photographs.
• Provide friendly, professional service at each delivery location.
• Keep the truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Valid Class A or B CDL (required)
• Boom or crane operator certification (required)
• Two years of articulating boom loader, knuckle-boom, or loader-crane experience (required)
• One year of boom-truck experience (required)
• Experience safely rigging and placing heavy materials
• Understanding of crane capacity, load weight, clearance, and stability
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Dependability, accuracy, and sound judgment on the road and at job sites
• Ability to reliably commute to Midtown West, New York, NY
