About Us
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health.
The Division of Biostatistics includes more than 20 faculty members with active research programs in clinical trials methodology, statistical genetics and genomics, epidemiologic methods, machine learning, and analysis of real-world data. Biostatistics faculty collaborate widely across the institution; teach in the medical and graduate educational programs; and lead and participate in biostatistics shared resources in the NIH-funded Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, Center for AIDS Research, Einstein Aging Study, and other research programs.
Biostatistics faculty are also members of the new Einstein Data Science Institute established in 2025.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will collaborate with Einstein investigators on a wide range of clinical and translational research. Additionally, the successful candidate will have opportunities to teach biostatistics in the institution’s medical and graduate school training programs and to pursue an independent program of methodologic research. The position will offer diverse research experiences in a highly collegial environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a doctorate in biostatistics or statistics, a record of methodologic and collaborative research including peer-reviewed publications, relevant teaching experience, and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Candidates with several years of post-training academic or professional experience, as well as expertise in one or more of the following areas are preferred: machine learning/artificial intelligence, causal inference, Bayesian methods, clinical trial methodology, analysis of electronic health record and other real-world data.
Minimum Salary Range:
USD $130,000.00/Yr.
Maximum Salary Range:
USD $180,000.00/Yr.
