Summary
As a Building Automation Project Sales Representative, you will help new and existing customers improve how their facilities operate by developing practical building automation solutions. You will combine technical knowledge, consultative selling, and relationship building to identify opportunities, shape projects, and deliver long-term customer value.
Role Overview
Develop building automation project opportunities with new and existing customers.
Translate facility needs, system conditions, and business goals into customized technical and financial solutions.
Partner with customers, vendors, and Harris team members to create accurate proposals and support successful project outcomes.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline while strengthening long-term customer relationships.
What Youll Do
Youll spend your time learning how customers buildings operate, identifying system challenges, and helping shape solutions that improve performance and reduce operating costs. Youll review drawings and specifications, visit customer sites, scope projects, estimate resource and material needs, and prepare compelling proposals. Throughout the sales process, youll partner with customers and internal teams, guide conversations around technical and financial value, and keep opportunities moving from discovery through close.
Evaluate HVAC and building automation systems, equipment, drawings, specifications, and jobsite conditions.
Develop scopes, estimates, pricing, and proposals for repair, modification, replacement, retrofit, and upgrade projects.
Prospect for new opportunities, follow up on leads and referrals, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and active quote backlog.
Present solutions, address questions and objections, and connect customers with Harris controls, service, and mechanical capabilities.
Maintain timely, professional communication and respond to customer concerns to support lasting relationships.

What Were Looking For
4+ years of knowledge or experience with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and related system components.
4+ years of experience developing and maintaining customer relationships.
An associate degree in construction science, HVAC, or a related field, or journeyman-level experience. A bachelors degree in business, a technical field, or a related discipline is preferred.
Ability to interpret drawings and jobsite conditions, assess system needs, and develop practical technical solutions.
Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, teamwork, and time-management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with 12 years of experience preferred.
Ability to understand and communicate energy savings and the financial value of proposed solutions. Sales experience and industrial refrigeration experience are preferred.
Ability to maintain a motor vehicle record that meets company guidelines and travel locally 10%25%, with up to 10% overnight travel.

Pay Range:
$71,078.81 - $106,618.22
The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
