This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Solutions Consultant – Leave & Disability based in the United States.
This fully remote role serves as a strategic bridge between Leave and Disability claims operations, technology, product, compliance, legal, and training teams. You’ll help ensure operational processes, communications, systems, and regulatory requirements are aligned and effectively implemented. The position combines process governance, documentation, system testing, and cross-functional project coordination. You’ll play a key role in translating business and regulatory changes into practical guidance for operational teams. The role also offers opportunities to identify process improvements, standardize workflows, and support automation. Success requires strong analytical thinking, communication, organization, and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Develop, maintain, and govern Standard Operating Procedures, job aids, process maps, workflows, operational guides, and training materials, ensuring they remain aligned with current regulations, business practices, and system functionality.
Create and distribute huddle notifications, release summaries, training guides, and other communications covering regulatory, procedural, and operational changes.
Partner with Product, Implementation, IT, Legal, Compliance, and business teams to develop, review, and maintain claimant-facing communications that meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
Participate in claim-system testing, releases, and implementation activities affecting Leave and Disability operations.
Review business system requirements and assess the operational impact of system changes, communicating implications to Claims Operations, Training, and Quality teams.
Evaluate existing operational processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve workflows.
Support the development of long-term operational governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and release-readiness activities, providing recommendations that strengthen efficiency, quality, compliance, and organizational preparedness.
High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
4+ years of experience in Leave and Disability claim management, with knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PFML, STD, LTD, and integrated absence programs.
Demonstrated experience creating operational documentation, SOPs, business process standards, and related training materials.
Experience supporting system implementations, release testing, operational readiness, or business-process change initiatives.
Strong understanding of Leave and Disability operational workflows and applicable regulatory considerations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, project coordination, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively without direct authority across multiple stakeholder groups.
Strong customer focus, critical-thinking ability, business judgment, teamwork, and learning agility.
Experience with FINEOS or similar claims administration platforms is a plus.
Experience leading operational change-management initiatives is preferred.
Salary: $70,530–$88,160 USD annual base salary, with actual compensation varying according to location, experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
