About the role

Hamilton Plastics manufactures high-performance coextruded and barrier films for the food, industrial, and medical markets. As an Equipment Operator, you run production equipment on the plant floor, monitor output against spec, and keep your line running safely and efficiently through your shift. This is a hands-on role with real ownership of quality and uptime.

What you'll do

• Set up, start up, operate, and shut down assigned production equipment according to work orders and standard operating procedures

• Monitor gauges, controls, and running product throughout the shift; make adjustments to hold specifications for thickness, width, sealing, and appearance

• Perform in-process quality checks, record readings, and document production data accurately

• Load raw materials, resins, and additives; change rolls, cores, and tooling as scheduled

• Identify off-spec product and machine issues early, correct what's within your scope, and escalate the rest to your lead or supervisor

• Complete routine operator-level maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, and basic changeovers

• Package and label finished product and stage it for the next operation

• Keep the work area clean and organized, follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements, and report hazards immediately

• Communicate line status and open issues clearly at shift handoff

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or GED

• Prior experience operating production or industrial equipment in a manufacturing, warehouse, or plant environment preferred; we will train the right candidate

• Comfortable reading work orders, gauges, and basic measurements, and recording data accurately

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine adjustments and changeovers

• Dependable attendance and the ability to work the assigned shift, including overtime and occasional weekends as production requires

• Ability to work as part of a crew and communicate clearly with leads, maintenance, and quality

Physical requirements and work environment

• Stand and walk for the duration of the shift on a plant floor

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with bending, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders

• Work around moving machinery, heat, and noise while wearing required PPE

• Manufacturing environment with temperature variation by season
