Temporary Medical Assistant - Lafayette, CO in Lafayette, Colorado at Everleap Fertility

Everleap Fertility is currently seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant to join our growing Lafayette practice! This is a full-time temporary position Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

Prepare exam and procedure roomsSupport patients during clinical visits and proceduresPerform specimen collection and processingAssist Physicians with patient care and clinical proceduresMaintain supplies and ensure rooms and equipment are clean and fully stockedPractice phlebotomyMaintain clinical supplies inventory.Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures.

Academic Training:

Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferredPhlebotomy Program – preferred

Requirements:

6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in physician practiceMust be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional eveningsKnowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel

Preferred Experience:

1+ year Phlebotomy experience or willingness to learn preferredPrior experience in Fertility, OBGYN, or Women’s healthcare – preferredExperience supporting clinical procedures is a plusElectronic Medical Record (EMR) experience - preferred
