When production equipment stops, your expertise helps get it running safely and reliably. As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician at Elmet Technologies, you will troubleshoot electrical and control-system issues, maintain critical equipment, and support upgrades that strengthen performance across our Euclid manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician who enjoys finding the source of difficult problems, working with PLCs and automated equipment, and seeing the direct impact of their work on uptime, safety, and production.

What You Will Do
You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and production equipment throughout Elmet's Euclid facility. Your work will combine responsive troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and production equipment
- Diagnose electrical, PLC, and control-system issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Install and commission new equipment and support machinery upgrades and plant improvement projects
- Perform preventive maintenance and electrical inspections to improve equipment reliability
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Modify electrical circuitry and support improvements that strengthen safety and operational performance
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of electrical components and assist with ordering replacement parts and materials
- Complete work safely and in accordance with company policies, electrical codes, and applicable industry standards
About You
You approach electrical problems methodically, work safely around complex industrial equipment, and understand how electrical and control systems affect the larger production process. You may be a strong fit if you bring:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Five to seven years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Strong experience troubleshooting PLCs and industrial control systems
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of industrial electrical codes, safety standards, and preventive maintenance practices
- Experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, or automated production environments
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative Maintenance team

- Equipment reliability improves and production downtime decreases

- Electrical, PLC, and control-system issues are diagnosed accurately and resolved promptly
- Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations collaborate effectively
- Equipment performance, workplace safety, and long-term reliability continue to improve
Additional Tools in Your Toolbox May Include
Technical training or completion of an electrical apprenticeship is preferred. Experience supporting automation initiatives, equipment commissioning, circuitry modifications, and complex production systems can help you contribute quickly in this role.
