Job Summary:
The CRM Channel Specialist Direct Mail is an entry-level role that supports the execution of Omaha Steaks' direct mail and print marketing programs. This role assists with campaign setup, customer audience execution, print production coordination, quality assurance, and campaign tracking to help deliver accurate, timely, and personalized customer communications.
Working closely with the CRM Manager and cross-functional partners, this position helps ensure campaigns are executed correctly while gaining experience in CRM marketing, customer segmentation, and print operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in CRM and marketing operations.
Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Campaign Execution
- Support the execution of direct mail and print campaigns from planning through deployment.
- Assist in maintaining the direct mail campaign calendar and campaign documentation.
- Coordinate with strategy, merchandising, creative, analytics, and production teams to ensure campaigns stay on schedule.
- Prepare campaign materials, mailing instructions, and production documentation.
- Maintain organized records of campaign builds, mailing schedules, and audience selections.
Audience & Production Support
- Assist with customer audience setup using CRM segmentation provided by the CRM and BI teams.
- Coordinate with print vendors and mailing partners to ensure files are delivered accurately and on time.
- Help manage campaign assets, print files, and variable data for production.
- Support vendor communications regarding production schedules and project status.
Quality Assurance
- Proofread direct mail creative, copy, and production materials for accuracy and brand consistency.
- Verify customer lists, offer details, URLs, QR codes, promo codes, and variable data prior to production.
- Perform quality checks throughout the campaign process to help ensure accurate execution.
Reporting & Optimization Support
- Assist in tracking campaign performance including response rates, conversions, revenue, and production costs.
- Prepare recurring reports and summarize campaign results.
- Support testing initiatives by documenting campaign variations and collecting results.
- Assist with invoice coding and budget tracking for direct mail programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 4- year college degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in marketing, CRM, communications, print production, project coordination, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to learn CRM systems, customer segmentation, and print production processes.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across multiple teams.
