Job Description

OB/GYN Physician – Outpatient Prenatal Care & Gynecology

Locations: Great Neck and Williston Park, Nassau County, New York
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Fixed recurring schedule divided between two Nassau County clinics
Compensation: $325,000–$375,000 annual base salary, plus productivity and quality incentive
Clinical Setting: Outpatient obstetrics and gynecology
Routine Labor-and-Delivery Call: Not required under the current position structure

Join True Health NY

True Health NY is seeking a dependable, clinically strong and patient-centered OB/GYN physician to join our Nassau County women’s-health team.

The physician will work under a defined recurring schedule divided between our Great Neck and Williston Park clinics. This is a structured two-site Nassau County position—not an open-ended float role across all True Health NY locations.

The successful physician will provide comprehensive outpatient prenatal and gynecologic care, build and maintain stable patient panels, perform common office procedures and ensure timely follow-through on results, referrals and patient concerns.

Both Nassau County clinics provide integrated access to OB/GYN, women’s-health clinicians, ultrasound, diagnostic services and centralized administrative support.

This position is primarily outpatient. Routine labor-and-delivery call is not required under the current position structure. The physician will coordinate obstetric care with True Health NY’s separately established laborist and hospital coverage model through written clinical handoff protocols.

Candidates interested in an expanded role involving hospital privileges, deliveries, gynecologic surgery or additional obstetric responsibilities may discuss that scope separately.

Work Locations

The physician will work at:

Great Neck Clinic
833 Northern Boulevard, Suite 100
Great Neck, New York 11021

Williston Park Clinic
2 Hillside Avenue, Suite G
Williston Park, New York 11596

The expected starting schedule will generally include three clinical days at one Nassau County clinic and two clinical days at the other. The exact recurring schedule will be confirmed before employment begins.

Routine coverage in Brooklyn or Fresh Meadows is not part of this position.

Position Highlights
  • Full-time outpatient OB/GYN position

  • Fixed Nassau County schedule

  • Great Neck and Williston Park locations only

  • No routine labor-and-delivery call under the current structure

  • Established women’s-health and prenatal patient demand

  • Dedicated medical-assistant and administrative support

  • Centralized scheduling, referrals, authorizations and billing support

  • eClinicalWorks electronic medical record

  • Competitive guaranteed base salary

  • Written productivity and quality incentive

  • Potential sign-on and relocation assistance

  • Opportunity for future clinical leadership and program development

Clinical Responsibilities

The OB/GYN Physician will:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care.

  • Conduct new and established gynecology visits.

  • Provide annual well-woman examinations and preventive services.

  • Provide cervical-cancer screening, including Pap and HPV testing.

  • Provide preconception counseling and pregnancy-confirmation visits.

  • Manage routine prenatal patients throughout pregnancy.

  • Review prenatal laboratory testing, genetic screening and ultrasound findings.

  • Recognize higher-risk pregnancy conditions and coordinate appropriate maternal-fetal medicine or specialty consultation.

  • Provide postpartum examinations and ongoing follow-up.

  • Provide contraception and family-planning counseling.

  • Insert and remove intrauterine devices and contraceptive implants when trained and credentialed.

  • Evaluate and manage abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, fibroids, ovarian cysts, vaginal infections, sexual-health concerns and menopausal symptoms.

  • Evaluate fertility concerns and initiate appropriate testing or referral.

  • Provide evidence-based menopause and bone-health management.

  • Review and communicate laboratory, imaging, ultrasound and pathology findings promptly.

  • Develop clear treatment, monitoring and follow-up plans.

  • Maintain continuity through pregnancy, postpartum recovery and ongoing gynecologic care.

  • Coordinate emergency, hospital or specialist escalation when clinically required.

Office Procedures

The physician should be competent in, or willing to develop proficiency in, common outpatient procedures including:

  • Colposcopy

  • Endometrial biopsy

  • Cervical biopsy

  • Vulvar biopsy

  • IUD insertion and removal

  • Contraceptive implant insertion and removal

  • Incision and drainage of uncomplicated vulvar or Bartholin gland conditions

  • Pessary fitting and management

  • Other outpatient procedures consistent with the physician’s training, demonstrated competency and approved privileges

Procedures may be performed only after the physician’s training, competency, credentialing and malpractice coverage have been verified.

Prenatal and Hospital Coordination

The physician will:

  • Manage prenatal care safely and consistently in the outpatient setting.

  • Identify complications requiring maternal-fetal medicine, emergency or hospital escalation.

  • Follow established prenatal testing and follow-up protocols.

  • Provide complete and timely handoff information to the laborist or hospital-based obstetric team.

  • Document significant prenatal risks, unresolved findings, pending results and delivery-planning information.

  • Respond appropriately to communications from laborists, hospitals and consulting clinicians.

  • Review relevant hospital, delivery and discharge records.

  • Provide timely postpartum follow-up.

  • Maintain continuity between outpatient prenatal care, hospital care and postpartum recovery.

Routine labor-and-delivery call is not part of this position unless an expanded scope is separately negotiated and documented.

Two-Site Continuity Responsibilities

Because the position serves two Nassau County clinics, the physician will be expected to:

  • Maintain a consistent and predictable schedule at each location.

  • Avoid unnecessary movement of established patients between locations.

  • Support continuity by scheduling follow-up visits at the patient’s preferred or usual clinic whenever practical.

  • Complete all clinical tasks regardless of which Nassau clinic generated the encounter.

  • Maintain one integrated electronic inbox and results workflow.

  • Coordinate cross-coverage with the Nassau County physician and advanced-practice team.

  • Communicate schedule changes in advance.

  • Avoid routine same-day travel between the two clinics unless operationally necessary and prearranged.

Documentation and Patient Follow-Through

The physician will be expected to:

  • Complete encounter documentation accurately and within established practice timeframes.

  • Enter required orders and charge-support information promptly.

  • Review and act on laboratory, imaging, ultrasound and pathology findings.

  • Communicate clinically significant results clearly and promptly.

  • Respond appropriately to patient messages, refill requests and clinical escalations.

  • Document referrals, follow-up instructions and care plans clearly.

  • Maintain an organized clinical inbox without a persistent unresolved backlog.

  • Ensure appropriate handoff and cross-coverage when unavailable.

  • Close clinical care loops involving abnormal findings, referrals and follow-up testing.

  • Comply with clinical, regulatory, payer and organizational requirements.

Clinical Leadership and Collaboration

The physician will:

  • Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, women’s-health nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, sonographers, medical assistants and administrative staff.

  • Provide appropriate clinical guidance to advanced-practice clinicians and staff within applicable law, credentialing and organizational policy.

  • Promote respectful and effective teamwork across both Nassau County clinics.

  • Participate in peer review, quality improvement, patient-safety and clinical-policy initiatives.

  • Help develop efficient workflows that improve access without compromising safety or quality.

  • Support a culture of accountability, responsiveness and patient-centered care.

  • Represent True Health NY professionally in the Nassau County community.

Performance Expectations

True Health NY is seeking a physician who demonstrates:

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Consistent fulfillment of the agreed two-site schedule

  • Timely chart completion

  • Prompt review and communication of results

  • Respectful communication with patients, clinicians and staff

  • Responsible patient-panel growth

  • Appropriate coding and documentation for personally performed services

  • Efficient care without compromising quality or safety

  • Willingness to participate in monthly performance and quality review

Patient-volume expectations will be introduced through a structured onboarding ramp and adjusted for patient complexity, new-patient volume, prenatal visit mix, procedures and clinical quality.
