Job Description

Description:

At Hensley Legal Group, helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives takes more than legal knowledge—it takes compassion, organization, and a genuine commitment to making a difference. As a Social Security Disability Case Manager, you'll be the steady guide clients rely on throughout the disability claims process, helping them navigate complex situations with confidence and care.

What you'll love about this role:

You'll build meaningful relationships with clients while serving as the driving force behind each case. From answering questions and gathering critical documentation to keeping cases moving forward and preparing files for hearings, your work has a direct impact on helping clients secure the benefits they need. Every day brings an opportunity to advocate, problem-solve, and make a real difference in someone's life.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, enjoys building trust with others, and understands that empathy and follow-through are just as important as efficiency. Our team values collaboration, accountability, and supporting one another while delivering exceptional service.

Your impact:

Your organization and ownership ensure every case stays on track from beginning to end. By maintaining consistent communication, proactively addressing delays, and coordinating the many moving parts of a Social Security disability claim, you help create a smoother experience for clients during an often stressful chapter of their lives. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence help deliver the advocacy our clients deserve.

What you'll be doing:

You'll serve as the primary coordinator for Social Security Disability cases, including:

  • Serving as the client's primary point of contact by answering questions, providing updates, and delivering compassionate support throughout the claims process.
  • Managing cases from intake through resolution, ensuring deadlines are met and cases continue moving forward.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed case notes while documenting all client communications and case activity.
  • Gathering, reviewing, and submitting medical records, employment information, and other supporting documentation necessary for disability claims.
  • Obtaining evidence and coordinating with medical providers, government agencies, and other third parties to support client cases.
  • Preparing files and documentation for attorney review, hearings, and appeals.
  • Monitoring case status and proactively resolving delays or outstanding issues.
  • Keeping attorneys informed of important case developments, concerns, or opportunities that require legal review.
  • Maintaining organized case files and ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Providing exceptional client service by guiding individuals through each step of the Social Security Disability process with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements:

Who you are:

You're highly organized, dependable, and thrive on keeping multiple priorities moving forward. You communicate with empathy while remaining confident and professional, especially during difficult conversations. You take ownership of your work, enjoy solving problems, and understand that the details matter because every case represents a person who is counting on you.

What you bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior case management, paralegal, legal, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive conversations with professionalism and compassion.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work.

Why you'll love it here:

You'll join a mission-driven team committed to leaving people better than we found them. We offer:

  • A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), paid parental leave, and pet benefits.
  • A flexible full-time schedule built around core hours.
  • An in-office role based in Fishers, Indiana, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week after training and performance expectations are met.
  • A collaborative, supportive workplace where your contributions are valued.
  • A meaningful career where your work positively impacts the lives of individuals navigating the Social Security Disability process.

If you're ready to combine your organizational skills, compassion, and commitment to helping others in a career with real purpose, we'd love to meet you. Special consideration will be given to resumes submitted with a cover letter.

Apply today and take the next step in a career where helping people move forward isn't just the mission—it's what you do every day.
