Weekend Caregiver (In-Home Care) – Pocatello, IDAbout the Role
Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to join our team serving clients throughout Pocatello, Chubbuck, and surrounding communities. This position is ideal for individuals looking for consistent weekend hours while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
As a Weekend Caregiver, you'll provide one-on-one, non-medical support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. If you're reliable, caring, and enjoy building meaningful relationships, we'd love to have you on our team.
What You'll DoResponsibilities vary based on each client's care plan and may include:
- Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
- Performing light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, changing linens, and tidying living areas
- Providing medication reminders (no handling or administering medications)
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, repositioning, walkers, and wheelchairs
- Providing transportation for errands, appointments, and grocery shopping when needed
- Offering respite care for family caregivers
- Documenting services provided and communicating any client concerns to the office
- Promoting each client's independence while treating them with dignity, respect, and compassion
We're looking for caregivers who are dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Professional, kind, and trustworthy attitude
- Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred
- Previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, CNA, or customer service experience
No caregiving experience is required. We value compassion, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Position Details- Location: Pocatello, Chubbuck, and surrounding communities
- Schedule: Primarily weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with opportunities for additional hours
