Job Description
Surgical Associate - Operating Room - Full-Time, Days

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: Full-Time, Day Shift (40 Hours/Week) starting at 6:30 AM
Department Highlights:
• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
• Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries/day
• Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures capable of providing excellent clinical experience to the new hire.
• Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases are the highlight of surgical offerings at THFW
Here's What You Need
Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience
• Previous patient care experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
Skills
• Read, write and speak English; Able to stand/walk for majority of hours of their work shift; Easily move heavy equipment & supplies ( up to 250 lbs on wheels) without endangering themselves or others
What You Will Do
• Completes routine stocking chores
• Assists in moving patients to and from the operating room suites
• Assists in room cleanup before and/or after surgery
• Other duties as assigned
