About the Role:
The RN - Clinical Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the delivery of nursing care within a clinical setting. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitating communication among multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The Clinical Coordinator acts as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and administrative personnel to streamline workflows and implement best practices. Additionally, this role involves monitoring clinical performance metrics, providing staff education, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. Ultimately, the RN - Clinical Coordinator ensures that patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care while fostering a collaborative and efficient clinical environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing care standards, clinical protocols, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with experience in coordinating clinical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Certification in Nursing Leadership, Case Management, or Clinical Coordination.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical data management.
- Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Previous experience in staff education and training program development.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily nursing operations to ensure efficient patient care delivery and resource allocation.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collect and analyze clinical data to identify areas for quality improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate communication between departments to resolve patient care issues and improve service delivery.
- Lead staff meetings and educational sessions to promote professional development and adherence to best practices.
- Assist in the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
