At Tampa Family Health Centers, we are seeking a dynamic Women’s Health Coordinator who is equal parts strategist, problem-solver, and patient advocate. This is more than an administrative role — it is the operational backbone of our Women’s Health Department.
Why This Role MattersWomen’s health requires precision, urgency, and seamless coordination. As our Women’s Health Coordinator, you will:
Drive provider productivity through strategic scheduling and template management
Ensure timely referrals, authorizations, and specialized appointments
Reduce first-pass denials and improve financial performance
Enhance the patient experience through proactive communication and engagement
Lead and mentor Referral Specialists to meet quality and productivity standards
Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, administration, and ancillary services
Your work will directly influence patient outcomes, department performance, and overall quality of care.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and adjust provider schedule templates aligned with productivity standards
Monitor schedules to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement
Manage referrals and secure authorizations for procedures and high-risk cases
Supervise and train Women’s Health Referral Specialists
Approve PTO, review timecards, and maintain team accountability
Maintain up-to-date referral resource databases
Support quality, financial, and performance metrics across the department
Communicate clearly with patients and care teams to coordinate next steps
This is a leadership-oriented coordination role ideal for someone ready to drive operational excellence.
What You BringHigh School Diploma (Associate’s Degree preferred)
Minimum two (2) years of referral management and care coordination experience
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of managed care referral processes and medical terminology
Experience navigating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Exceptional multitasking ability in high-volume environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer proficiency, including Windows-based applications
