Job Description
Position Summary
The Stock Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The Stock Clerk also ensures that requirements are processed accurately and in a timely manner, receives, loads, and conducts inventories.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Verifies receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
- Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material.
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock, counts stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
- Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- Performs physical inventory counts, material inspections and location survey checks.
- Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.
- Distributes stock among production workers.
- Keeps records of material issued.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles/equipment.
- Must be proficient writing emails and using Microsoft Office programs and other computer
- systems.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
- Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
- Must be able to obtain applicable training certifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and stooping to handle of materials.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
- PPE will be worn in designated areas as required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient writing emails and using Microsoft Office programs and other computer systems.
- Experienced with Military Automated Supply Systems
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Possess a valid drivers’ license, pass MHE testing and maintain licenses.
Security Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
- Must pass the National Agency Background Check and obtain computer access.
