Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Regional Manager to support our Regional Manager in overseeing operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will excel in comprehensive reporting, data analysis, and providing actionable feedback and recommendations. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams, develop strategic insights, drive operational excellence, and other tasks assigned while serving as a key liaison between property management teams and regional leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting, Analysis, and Strategic Recommendations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track KPIs across all regional properties, including occupancy rates, delinquency metrics, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct detailed analysis of profit/loss statements, variance reports, and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the Regional Manager with actionable recommendations for enhancing business performance and operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic feedback on market conditions, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities to support regional decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Regional Manager to develop and refine strategic plans based on data-driven insights and performance metrics.
- Assist in leading and managing regional operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and the Regional Manager's strategic vision.
- Support the supervision and mentoring of property management teams, promoting professional growth and accountability across all locations.
- Coordinate with property managers to implement process improvement initiatives and ensure consistent operational standards.
- Assist in project management activities, monitoring timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
- Conduct property visits and assessments to gather firsthand insights for reporting and recommendations to the Regional Manager.
- Facilitate communication between property teams and regional leadership, ensuring effective information flow and issue resolution.
- Assist with oversight of monthly financials, close processes, and financial reporting to executive leadership and ownership entities.
- Support property managers on leasing and renewal initiatives and overall delinquency cleanup, with a company standard target of less than 3%.
Requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and present complex information effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in creating comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive-level review.
- Experience with property management systems (such as Entrata) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the Regional Manager and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in multi-family property management, real estate operations, or related field preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, recommendations, and professional correspondence.
