As the Senior Director of Software Quality Assurance, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of quality across a complex, multi-product SaaS ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape quality engineering practices, scale global QA operations, and champion a culture where quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. - Define and execute the long-term quality assurance strategy, aligning testing initiatives with engineering priorities, product roadmaps, and business objectives.
- Build, mentor, and scale a globally distributed QA organization spanning manual, automation, and performance testing while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Establish enterprise-wide testing standards, automation frameworks, performance engineering practices, and quality gates integrated into modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams to promote a shift-left quality approach, ensuring testing and risk assessment are embedded from the earliest design stages.
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted testing capabilities, including automated test generation, intelligent analysis, and quality validation for AI-assisted software development.
- Define quality metrics, reporting frameworks, and executive dashboards to monitor release readiness, defect trends, automation effectiveness, and overall software quality.
- Standardize testing tools, environments, and processes while overseeing QA budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic technology investments.
- Communicate quality strategy, technical risks, and organizational priorities to executive stakeholders while influencing engineering decisions across multiple teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10–15 years of experience in software quality engineering, including extensive leadership experience managing QA managers and large, distributed teams.
- Proven success leading quality assurance across enterprise-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms with expertise in manual, automated, and performance testing.
- Strong knowledge of modern automation frameworks and testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured, Postman, and performance testing solutions including JMeter, k6, Gatling, or Locust.
- Experience integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, containerization, SQL, and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience applying AI-powered development and testing tools to improve automation, test design, and quality analysis.
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead organizational change.
- Experience with observability, accessibility, security testing, regulated environments, or large-scale enterprise software is considered an advantage.
