We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team in Batesville, MS. In this role, you will lead and support production employees during your assigned shift in our climate-controlled manufacturing facility, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high quality operation. You may also oversee activities across Felting, Coating, Shipping, and Warehousing as needed. The Production Supervisor is responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety programs, and ISO and VPP certification requirements while fostering a positive and engaged work environment.

The starting salary is $85,000 per year and will increase based on experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations, leading a team of approximately 60 production employees to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company safety programs, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor production workflows, prioritize work, and optimize efficiency to meet production schedules and performance targets.
  • Ensure product quality by implementing, training, and verifying compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
  • Manage workforce performance, including scheduling, coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviewing/hiring support.
  • Develop and train employees to improve technical skills, engagement, productivity, and overall team performance.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including labor hours, material usage, inventory, waste tracking, and operational reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements, supporting lean manufacturing practices, and maintaining organized work areas using 5S methodology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure production objectives, equipment readiness, and customer requirements are met.
  • Manage departmental resources and budgets while minimizing costs and maintaining high standards of quality and operational efficiency.

What We Need From You:

  • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive leadership and performance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees while driving accountability and performance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Basic math and mechanical aptitude, including the ability to interpret measurements, perform calculations, and make simple machine set-ups.
  • Ability to work 10+ hour shifts (primarily 2nd shift), weekends, and occasional 1st shift coverage as business needs require.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to visually inspect production equipment and safely operate in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
