Job Description
CAMS is on the search for a full-time Recreation Facility Coordinator. Hours are 8:00 am – 8:00 pm Monday-Friday; alternate Saturday and Sunday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm (weekend availability required).
The Recreation Facility Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, oversight, maintenance, staffing, resident experience, and programming of the Amenity Center and its associated facilities. The position works closely with the HOA Community Manager, residents, vendors, contractors, and Amenity Center staff to ensure that all facilities are safe, clean, properly maintained, and operated in accordance with HOA rules, policies, and guidelines.

The Recreation Facility Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, oversight, maintenance, staffing, resident experience, and programming of the Amenity Center and its associated facilities. The position works closely with the HOA Community Manager, residents, vendors, contractors, and Amenity Center staff to ensure that all facilities are safe, clean, properly maintained, and operated in accordance with HOA rules, policies, and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner, creating a welcoming and positive first impression of the amenity center.
- Oversee the daily operations of Amenity Center including staff.
- Ensure swimming pool, gym, pickle ball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts and other common spaces are clean, organized, and maintained in accordance with the Amenity Center professional standards.
- Obtain resident feedback and use that feedback to improve programming, events, and the overall resident experience.
- Working as part of a team assisting the Events Coordinator with planning, organizing, setting up, and supporting events at the Amenity Center.
- Ensure that activities involving non-residents or external organizations are reviewed and approved by the HOA Community Manager and HOA Amenity Center Chair before commitments are made.
- Ensure that any external activity involving a resident is appropriately reviewed and approved in accordance with HOA policies.
- Maintain accurate records of event participation, revenue, expenses, and other relevant information.
- Report directly to the HOA Community Manager regarding all human resources matters, daily operations, facility issues, and other matters pertaining to the Amenity Center.
- Ensure all communications intended for the community are reviewed and approved by the Community Manager and the Chair of the Communications Committee prior to distribution.
- Provide the HOA Community Manager and HOA Amenity Center Chair with a threemonth rolling event calendar, including event details, anticipated revenue, and expenses.
- Provide the HOA Community Manager and HOA Amenity Center Chair with the upcoming monthly calendar at least 15 days before it is distributed to the community.
- Provide the HOA Community Manager with a monthly punch list at least three days prior to the monthly HOA meeting.
- Respond to residents and community inquiries, calls, and messages in a timely manner
- Maintain physical presence at the community

Requirements:
- Education/Training: High School Diploma is required.
- Experience/Knowledge/Abilities: 1-3 years of property management experience or managing an HOA facility. A detailed individual with a strong ability to multi-task is required. Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Physical Requirements: Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 40 lbs., as well as standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing.
- The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time.
- On-call 24/7. Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends.
- Driving required along with valid SC driver’s license and insurance. Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
- Reasonable and predictable attendance. Some overtime may be required.
