Job Description

Sr. Marketing Design Lead (Start up Healthtech)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Marketing Design Lead (Start up Healthtech) based in United States.

This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership across a fast-moving healthtech marketing organization.
You’ll lead the visual craft across social, digital, web, email, sales enablement, events, and print.
The role combines hands-on design execution with strategic input, allowing you to shape briefs, creative direction, and scalable production systems.
A distinctive part of the position is building AI-assisted creative workflows that help non-designers produce high-quality, on-brand materials.
You’ll also develop design systems, manage external creative partners, and maintain a consistently high visual standard across channels.
Working closely with marketing, sales, customer success, product marketing, and external partners, you’ll help turn complex healthcare concepts into compelling creative.
This is a fully remote opportunity for a designer who thrives on variety, autonomy, experimentation, and building systems that enable great work at scale.

Accountabilities
  • Own social creative across paid and organic channels, producing campaign assets, always-on content, reusable templates, and scalable sizing systems.
  • Lead digital design across banner and display advertising, programmatic and retargeting campaigns, landing pages, websites, email, and lifecycle communications.
  • Create high-quality sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, leave-behinds, investor materials, partner presentations, and reusable templates.
  • Develop print and event creative, including conference booths, signage, collateral, handouts, booklets, direct mail, and branded merchandise.
  • Prepare production-ready files with appropriate specifications and coordinate print vendors from sourcing and evaluation through final delivery.
  • Steward the visual brand system, maintaining guidelines, organizing template libraries, and contributing components and patterns to the broader design system.
  • Build AI-assisted creative workflows, including design agents, instructions, skills, templates, and review processes that enable teams to create consistent, on-brand materials.
  • Establish appropriate human review points for brand, legal, and messaging compliance and improve systems when AI-generated output falls short.
  • Source, evaluate, brief, and manage freelance designers, illustrators, motion specialists, production partners, and other external creative resources.
  • Lead external creative projects from initial briefing through review and final delivery, maintaining the same quality standards applied to internal work.
  • Develop conference presence strategies and coordinate booth layouts, vendors, swag, activations, ordering, and post-event learnings.
  • Build organized asset libraries, naming conventions, templates, and production processes that improve efficiency and reduce duplicated work.
  • Take creative briefs from concept through final delivery, presenting options with clear rationale and refining work based on feedback.
  • Participate in creative reviews, provide constructive feedback, communicate design decisions effectively, and help raise the overall creative standard.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize competing demands, communicate progress, and identify risks or blockers early.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong social creative and broad experience across digital and print.
  • Demonstrated experience designing for technology, SaaS, B2B, or similarly complex business environments.
  • Strong portfolio covering social media, web, advertising, email, sales collateral, event materials, signage, and other print applications.
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Working knowledge of design systems, components, libraries, and scalable brand standards.
  • Experience preparing print-ready production files with accurate bleeds, color specifications, file formats, and vendor requirements.
  • Strong practical experience using AI tools for creative ideation, variation, retouching, layout, and other design workflows.
  • Ability to turn individual AI techniques into repeatable systems, templates, instructions, and workflows that can be adopted by non-designers.
  • Exceptional visual judgment, with a strong eye for typography, hierarchy, composition, layout, and brand consistency.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain, defend, and adapt design decisions.
  • Experience sourcing, briefing, coordinating, and managing freelance designers, agencies, and other creative specialists.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities across multiple projects, and maintain high-quality execution in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated industry is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes and their impact on creative development is preferred.
  • Motion design or short-form video experience using tools such as After Effects, Runway, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with web developers and engineers, including familiarity with Figma Dev Mode and design-to-development workflows, is beneficial.
  • Experience contributing to or developing brand systems, rather than simply executing within established guidelines, is valued.
  • Experience creating AI workflows for other users, including agent instructions, prompt libraries, or reusable templates, is a strong plus.
  • A portfolio is required, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Benefits
  • Base salary range of $90,000–$115,000, depending on location and experience.
  • Bonus opportunity tied to company and functional performance.
  • Fully remote work within the United States, with occasional opportunities for in-person collaboration.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • Medical and other insurance benefits, including HSA support.
  • Pet insurance options.
  • Open paid time off.
  • Remote work stipend.
  • Annual education and professional development budget.
  • Flexible, trust-based work environment designed around autonomy and accountability.
  • Opportunity to contribute to healthcare technology with the potential to improve experiences for healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
  • Opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled, collaborative, and respectful team in a growth-stage startup environment.
