Associate Medical Writer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Medical Writer based in India.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to medical imaging clinical trials by creating high-quality scientific and operational documentation.
You will support study startup, documentation development, compliance activities, and clinical research operations across global projects.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help translate study requirements into clear, accurate, and compliant materials.
Your work will contribute to document quality, study readiness, operational efficiency, and successful clinical trial execution.
The position provides exposure to medical writing, clinical research, regulatory documentation, and imaging sciences.
You will work in a collaborative environment where attention to detail, organization, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Accountabilities
  • Study Startup Support: Create, organize, and maintain study-specific medical writing and medical communications documentation required for study initiation and execution.
  • Protocol & Imaging Review: Review study protocols and imaging requirements to accurately interpret procedures, schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Clinical Documentation: Create, update, review, and finalize Site Manuals, supporting forms, labels, communication materials, and other study-specific documentation.
  • Quality & Compliance: Develop and maintain Notes to File, protocol amendment impact assessments, corrections, quality records, and other compliance-related documentation.
  • Source Documentation: Create and maintain source documents and electronic clinical forms that support study execution and operational requirements.
  • Meeting & Project Support: Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, action items, and other documentation for study startup, project, and medical communications activities.
  • Medical Communications: Maintain and enhance communication resources, databases, web content, and document repositories.
  • Closeout & Archiving: Support project closeout and ensure study documentation is archived accurately in accordance with internal procedures and applicable requirements.
  • SOPs & Training: Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of SOPs, Work Instructions, templates, training materials, reader training content, and educational resources.
  • Document Control: Maintain study tracking tools, document status reports, and medical writing databases to support accurate reporting and document control.
  • Cross-Functional Guidance: Provide project teams with guidance on documentation processes, templates, and study-specific requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives designed to improve quality, compliance, efficiency, documentation practices, and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Clinical Research, or another relevant scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Medical Writing Experience: 1+ year of medical writing experience is preferred; equivalent experience in clinical research or scientific documentation may also be considered.
  • Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, healthcare, medical imaging, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Scientific Writing: Understanding of medical, clinical research, regulatory, and/or scientific writing principles.
  • Clinical Research Knowledge: Familiarity with clinical trial terminology, clinical research processes, and medical imaging concepts is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related productivity tools.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Quality Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading, editing, and document quality review skills.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Independence & Collaboration: Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within collaborative, global teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable adjusting to changing priorities and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
