Retired but still want to stay active, connect with people, and do work that matters? HomeWell Care Services is looking for dependable, compassionate people to help older adults in our community remain comfortable at home.

You don’t need to have spent your career in healthcare. Many of the qualities that make a great caregiver come from life experience: patience, conversation, good judgment, and knowing how to make someone feel at ease. Whether you’re a retired teacher, nurse, office professional, business owner, or longtime family caregiver, we’d like to meet you.

What the work looks like

You’ll spend one-on-one time with a client in their home. Depending on the client’s needs and your skills, you may:

• Share conversation, play games, or accompany them on an outing

• Prepare a meal or help with groceries

• Provide reminders and support with everyday routines

• Help with light housekeeping and laundry

• Accompany them to appointments or run errands

• Assist with personal care, such as bathing or dressing, if you’re comfortable doing so and trained for the assignment

For some clients, having a familiar face who shows up reliably and takes a genuine interest in them makes all the difference.
