HealthFirst Bluegrass is seeking a dedicated Dentist / Clinical Dental Lead to provide exceptional patient care while helping lead and mentor our dental team.

Clinical Care
  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations utilizing X-rays, diagnostic instruments, and clinical assessments.
  • Document findings and treatment plans accurately and timely in patient dental records.
  • Diagnose and treat dental diseases and conditions.
  • Restore teeth through appropriate preventive and restorative procedures.
  • Extract diseased or problematic teeth or refer patients for specialized care when necessary.
  • Treat diseases of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity through medication, procedures, or surgery.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and maintaining optimal dental health.
  • Participate in community outreach and oral health education activities.
Leadership & Program Support
  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision to dental staff.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, training, and evaluating dental team members.
  • Communicate regularly with the Chief Dental Officer regarding staff performance and clinical competency.
  • Promote a collaborative, positive, and patient-focused team environment.
  • Participate in medical staff meetings, committees, and departmental conferences.
  • Coordinate purchasing of dental equipment and supplies.
  • Support day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the dental program.
  • Assist with performance management and staff development initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Active Kentucky Dental License
  • Current DEA Registration
  • BLS/CPR Certification
