The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Professional care giver who is responsible for the preparation of the patient prior to the procedure,
To assist the physician during the performance of procedures including but not limited to angioplasties and cardiac catheterization,
Participates in unit Quality Improvement evaluation activities,
Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to provide age specific treatment
Experience:
Graduate of a Registered Nurse program, BSN preferred,
Licensed by the State of New Jersey,
AHA BLS required,
AHA ACLS required,
Completion of a Dysrhythmia course,
Successful completion of all required orientation programs,
Maintaining current status of competencies and mandatories,
Job Specific Requirements
Implements the policies and procedures of the hospital and CCL department,
Performs interventions in accordance with current policy and procedures, safety guidelines and infection control principles,
Competent in performing all roles within the CCL, including but not limited to circulating, monitoring, holding room, and scrubbing,
Reports patient complaints, problems and any untoward signs, symptoms or unusual occurrences immediately to the appropriate physician or supervisor
On call requirement based on lab staffing,
Reports care/patient education according to standards, utilizing designated tools, forms and systems,
Provides basic patient care and comfort,
Assists with unit department education,
Acts as a resource person, precepting as delegated or needed,
Assists cardiologist during procedures,
Maintains competent operation of the information system,
Performs inventory and restocking on all supplies ordered in the cardiac cath lab,
Order CCL supplies,
The staff member participates in the interdisciplinary patient teaching process,
The staff member demonstrates the ability to identify what the patient s educational needs are,
Maintains cleanliness of equipment and environment,
