Job Description

Lone Mountain Land Company (LMLC) was formed by private equity firm CrossHarbor Capital Partners to manage the planning, entitlement, building, marketing, and sales of premier resort communities in and around Big Sky, Montana. In addition to real estate and construction, we support world-class operations at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club and Moonlight Basin while overseeing the transformation of Town Center and more.

Purpose: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for various accounting and administrative tasks related to Yellowstone Club and Lone Mountain Land Company. This position has a primary focus on vendor management, data entry, invoice and payment processing.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Empowered to guarantee total Member satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our Members at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our Members and guests and assure that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
  • Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for team members, Members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the Assistant General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.

Essential Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Process daily AP mail and emails for specific assigned departments.
  • Sort and route invoices to local AP staff or to purchasing/admins within the business
  • Manage vendor relationships. Ensuring all W9s, 1099s, and vendor information is filed securely and accurately
  • Execute expedited payment processing in a timely and accurate manner
  • Distribute weekly and monthly AP reports to the company
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of major credit accounts or accounts with a high volume of transactions
  • Perform statement reconciliation across multiple companies with a keen eye for detail


Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in month end closing.
  • Provide reports to VP’s/Directors as requested.
  • Responsible for special projects, such as preparing 1099 forms, assisting with the yearly audit, and the preparation and payment of property taxes.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Meet departmental productivity, organization and consistency standards.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Treat Members, guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Maintain privacy at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers and directors.
  • Perform work in a safe and high quality manner.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

Experience/Education Required

High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; A minimum of 2+ years working in an accounting field; Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.


Experience/Education Preferred

Proficiency in Sage Intacct and SAP Concur systems; Degree in business, finance, accounting, or related.


Certificates & Licenses

Valid State Driver’s License


Computer Skills

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Intermediate knowledge of other Microsoft office products.


Language Ability

Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other company departments. Able to write clearly and legibly.


Math Ability

Able to perform basic math calculations.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.
