Accountabilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts while developing a thorough understanding of their strategies, priorities, and business needs.
  • Identify and develop new customer relationships and expand the account portfolio across Canada, with potential responsibility for selected U.S. customers.
  • Drive sales opportunities from identification through development, negotiation, and close, ensuring products and services receive favorable consideration across customer projects.
  • Provide commercial and technical support to customers and help shape their renewable energy strategies.
  • Monitor national and regional market dynamics, financing conditions, competitive activity, customer needs, and other factors affecting sales and profitability.
  • Identify project risks and customer issues early, anticipate competitor movements, and communicate critical customer priorities internally.
  • Stay current on new onshore wind products and services and clearly communicate their value to customers.

  • Identify opportunities to integrate broader renewable energy products and services into strategic and transactional customer engagements.
  • Represent the business at renewable energy trade shows, conferences, and other market development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and opportunity information in Salesforce and manage the inquiry-to-order process for assigned accounts.
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual sales planning processes with internal teams and customers.
  • Take accountability for customer commitments, orders, sales, pricing, profitability, cash, risk assessment, contractual terms, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience selling capital equipment and/or long-term services associated with industrial equipment, preferably within the power generation industry.
  • Fluency in Canadian French and English.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Canadian and/or U.S. power generation industry and renewable energy markets.
  • Practical understanding of current and emerging renewable energy requirements, customer financial drivers, market dynamics, and commercial considerations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and performance objectives.
  • Experience negotiating contracts directly with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong executive-level communication and relationship-building skills, including confidence engaging with C-suite decision-makers.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions, opportunities, and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, prioritize effectively, and operate successfully within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, team-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers at all organizational levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to lead commercial or technical topics when required in support of assigned customers.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of motivating and influencing others.
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Master's degree in engineering or business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of related products, services, and markets is an advantage.

  • Remote work arrangement.
