JOB SUMMARY:

The Parts Specialist is responsible for managing inventory, purchasing, receiving, storage, and distribution of maintenance and operational spare parts supporting automated warehouse systems, robotics, palletizing equipment, conveyors, and facility infrastructure. Ensures critical components are available to support equipment reliability, preventative maintenance activities, and continuous operation of the automated distribution system. Handles accurate inventory management, vendor coordination, parts tracking, and process improvement to minimize downtime and maximize operations.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in accomplishing set goals and objectives of the organization. Works effectively with team by abiding by core values and best practices. Meets expectations and is accountable for achieving results.
  • Maintains inventory of critical spare parts supporting robotic automation systems, conveyors, pallet-building equipment, sensors, motors, drives, bearings, controls, and other maintenance-related components.
  • Maintains accurate logs of available inventory, applies standard supply chain practices, and guarantees slots and products are accurately labeled and stored. Performs cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Conducts regular reports, logs purchases, monitors and tracks ordered parts, audits invoices to ensure product delivery/receiving and expense correctness and accurately tracks inventory activities.
  • Maintains correct pricing per vendor and catalog codes. Manages obsolete inventory, warranty returns, and vendor replacement programs.
  • Coordinates emergency parts procurement to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Coordinates with leadership to ensure inventory aligns with operational financial goals and preparedness.
  • Handles special projects and tasks for production and operational needs.

Position Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in industrial, manufacturing, robotics, and distribution center automation.
  • Experience using inventory management systems and supporting automated material handling systems, ASRS, robotics, or distribution center automation.
  • Supply chain, logistics, or inventory management certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation equipment and spare parts.
  • Knowledge of robotics, conveyors, motors, VFDs, sensors, pneumatics, and electrical components.
  • Ability to analyze inventory trends and recommend stocking strategies.
  • Knowledge of cycle counting and inventory accuracy methodologies.
  • Strong vendor management and procurement skills.
  • Regular on-site attendance and reliability required.
  • Ability to be flexible in work schedule for emergency situations, when necessary

Physical/Sensory Demands

  • Hazardous Work: This position involves physically demanding tasks in various body positions and may include exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Environmental Conditions: Work is performed in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors, and may involve dirty or messy environments.
  • Height Exposure: There will be exposure to varying heights while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: The workload, location, and nature of problems requiring resolution can be unpredictable, necessitating a high level of alertness and adaptability. Emergencies may arise at any time, requiring immediate response.
