Job Description

Developer, Lead

Location: Ft. Knox, KY, Full Time Remote
Required Clearance: Active Secret
Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ / IAT level II certification
Required Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related degree.
Required Experience: Must have 8-10 years of experience. Minimum of three (3) years of agile development with either Azure Dev Ops or Jira with Git repositories, building and supporting Web and Cloud based applications. Army HRC ASBS or companion systems experience is a plus.


Position Description

Ping Wind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Software Developer to drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on modern web technologies, microservices architecture, and cloud-native solutions on AWS.


Responsibilities

Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Full-Stack Development: Lead the end-to-end design and development of robust, high-performance applications using Java/Spring Boot and Node.js for backend services, alongside Angular for the frontend.
• UI/UX Implementation: Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design, utilizing modern UI templates, HTML5, CSS, and Angular to ensure responsive and seamless user experiences.
• Cloud Architecture: Architect, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable cloud environments utilizing AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).
• System Integration: Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring efficient data flow between the frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Guide technical teams, conduct rigorous code reviews, establish software development best practices, and drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) initiatives.
• Agile Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and UI/UX designers in an Agile environment to translate business requirements into technical solutions.


Required Qualifications

• Cloud Computing: Proven hands-on experience developing and deploying applications in AWS environments.
• Frontend Technologies: Expansive experience with Angular, HTML5, CSS, and modern UI templates.
• Backend Technologies: Strong proficiency in Java with deep expertise in the Spring Boot framework for building enterprise-grade microservices.
• Server-Side Solid experience with Node.js for backend development, API integration, or tooling.
• Database: Experience designing and interacting with relational and non-relational databases.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD pipeline tools.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience writing SQL for a major database (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with API design and documentation (e.g., JSON, OpenAPI).
• Familiarity with source control tools like Git.
• Experience with vulnerability analysis and remediation.
• Strong experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Proficiency in front-end development with Angular, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with Node.js for backend services or build tooling.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably in an AWS environment.
• Experience with Agile development processes (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
• Experienced with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

Salary Range

$103k-$143K

The pay range for this job is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
