Greenawalt Hospitality provides food, beverage, and hospitality services for live events and athletic experiences throughout Alabama and beyond. At Auburn University athletic events, our team works behind the scenes—and directly with fans—to help create an organized, welcoming, and memorable game day experience.
We're building our team for a new Auburn athletics season and looking for dependable, energetic people who are ready to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of the action.
Job SummaryGreenawalt Hospitality is hiring Auburn Athletics Concessions Crew Members to support food and beverage service at Auburn University sporting events.
This is a flexible, event-based position with assignments that may include concession stands, cashier stations, grab-and-go locations, food service, beverage stations, stocking, ID checking, and other hospitality support.
Team members who are at least 21 years old and meet training requirements may also be assigned to bartending and alcohol service positions.
Whether you're taking orders during a busy game, keeping a concession stand stocked, serving beverages, or helping your team prepare for the next rush, you'll play an important part in the overall fan experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesConcessions & Game Day Service- Serve food, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and other concession items quickly and accurately
- Work assigned concession stands, grab-and-go locations, cashier stations, and beverage service areas
- Process guest orders and payments using point-of-sale systems
- Stock and replenish food, beverages, ice, and operational supplies throughout the event
- Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready concession areas
- Support beverage stations and bar operations when assigned
- Check identification when trained and assigned to alcohol service areas
- Follow responsible alcohol service requirements and company procedures
- Team members age 21+ may have opportunities to cross-train and work as bartenders
- Complete ServSafe Alcohol Certification when required for assigned responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly, professional attitude
- Provide fast and attentive service during high-volume periods
- Answer basic questions and assist guests with concession needs
- Maintain professionalism even during busy game day rushes
- Represent Greenawalt Hospitality positively throughout every shift
- Help prepare concession and beverage areas before gates open
- Receive, organize, and stock products and supplies
- Keep assigned areas organized throughout the event
- Assist with cleaning, breakdown, inventory, and closing responsibilities following service
- Work closely with supervisors, leads, bartenders, and fellow crew members
- Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled assignments
- Complete required Greenawalt Hospitality onboarding and training
- Follow Auburn University, venue, food safety, alcohol service, and company policies
- Adapt to changing assignments and operational needs throughout the event
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be 21 years of age or older for bartending and applicable alcohol service assignments
- Available for Auburn University sporting events, including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation to and from scheduled events
- Dependable access to phone, text, email, and company scheduling communications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
Previous experience is helpful, but not required. Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Concessions or food service
- Restaurants or quick-service environments
- Cashier or retail positions
- Bartending or beverage service
- Sporting events, concerts, festivals, or other large events
- Customer service
We're also happy to train candidates who bring a great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Compensation$15.00 per hour + tips for eligible assignments
