Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Commercial Deal Desk Analyst based in the United States.
This role will help build and scale a commercial Deal Desk function within a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment.
You’ll work at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations on complex, high-impact commercial decisions.
The position combines hands-on deal execution with process design, governance, and continuous improvement.
You’ll help sales teams navigate sophisticated pricing, contracting, quoting, and approval requirements with confidence.
There is significant opportunity to introduce automation and AI to streamline quote-to-cash workflows and reduce manual effort.
Success will require strong commercial judgment, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.
This is a remote North American role supporting teams across the United States and Canada, with in-person onboarding in Toronto.
- Partner with enterprise sales leaders, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations to structure and execute complex, non-standard, and high-impact commercial deals.
- Advise stakeholders on pricing, discounting, contract terms, amendments, renewals, co-terms, ramps, bundled products, and other commercial considerations.
- Review and process deal submissions in Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, ensuring quotes and contracts are accurate, complete, and ready for approval and invoicing.
- Help establish and scale Deal Desk foundations, including intake processes, approval routing, discount governance, exception handling, service-level agreements, and operational documentation.
- Create practical playbooks, training resources, office hours, and guidance that enable sales teams to navigate commercial processes and quoting tools effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation, AI tools, and CPQ configuration, collaborating with technical teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Analyze deal data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks, improve deal quality, and recommend changes that support efficient and sustainable revenue growth.
- Continuously improve commercial processes, policies, and documentation while balancing customer and seller needs with pricing discipline, revenue integrity, and business risk.
- 4+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, Commercial Finance, or a related function within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, including the ability to troubleshoot complex quoting and cross-object issues.
- Strong understanding of commercial deal structures, including ARR, multi-year agreements, amendments, renewals, co-terms, ramps, stub billing, bundled products, and discounting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and improve processes, documentation, approval workflows, and commercial policies in evolving organizations.
- Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to balance customer and seller priorities against pricing discipline, revenue integrity, and business risk.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex commercial concepts clearly and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Experience using AI, automation, or workflow technologies to reduce manual work and improve quote-to-cash operations is preferred.
- Adaptability, curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- United States base salary: $96,000–$134,000 USD annually.
- Immediate eligibility for health, dental, 401(k), and other benefits.
- Generous paid time off.
- Equity grant and eligibility for applicable incentive programs.
- Remote-first work environment.
- Retirement matching program.
- Competitive health and wellbeing benefits, including maternity and parental leave top-up programs.
- Paid volunteer days and peer-to-peer recognition programs.
- Free access to the company's password-management product.
- In-person onboarding in Toronto for go-to-market roles.
- Professional growth opportunities in an environment that encourages experimentation, feedback, and continuous learning.
- Occasional travel may be required for team offsites, department meetings, and customer events.
