OverviewAs a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, youll evaluate students communication needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals. Youll collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and therapy professionals to provide comprehensive special education support across school settings.

Masters degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
Experience working with children preferred
Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology
Maintain license per ASHA requirements
Additional state teaching certification or credential may be required
Ability to pass a background check
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language
Develop and implement speech and language therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational needs
Collaborate with classroom teachers and contribute to the IEP process
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies
Participate in team meetings, provide staff training, and mentor or supervise assistants or students as appropriate
