Position Highlights:

  • $80,168.40-$99,944.24/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

What You’ll Do:

  • The Compliance Manager will build and foster a culture of compliance

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of laws, rules, regulations and/or standards to assist departments with interpretation of the regulations and properly train associates how to comply with laws, rules, regulations, policy and/or standards.

  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams focused on staff training, quality and process audits related to compliance

  • Supports the role that is accountable for developing and conducting ongoing training and education programs for all YVFWC employees

  • Plan, organize and execute investigations or audits to measure potential fraud and abuse

  • Coordinates the identification, prevention, and prompt correction of identified compliance issues

  • Communicates audit findings and identifies areas of educational needs or corrective actions based on the results

  • Documents completed corrective actions based on audit findings

  • Analyze internal systems and processes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, revenue cycle

  • Collaborates with leadership to develop strategies to manage local, state, and federal regulatory and legal requirements

  • Assist in the development, initiation, maintenance, and revisions of policies and procedures for the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.

  • Supports and maintain effective lines of compliance communication across the organization.

  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position, handles all protected health information in a manner consistent with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.

  • Develops, implements, maintains, and oversees privacy-related policies and procedures.

  • Conducts investigations of privacy-related complaints and responds to privacy-related inquiries from workforce members, patients and/or family members, the compliance hotline, or other sources.

  • Based on outcomes of privacy-related investigations, reports to state and federal authorities, as appropriate, and communicates with patients or individuals when their Personal Health Information (PHI) or Personal Information (PI) has been used or disclosed in violation of our standards.

  • Develops, implements, maintains, and oversees training and education programs for privacy issues, including new employee orientation, annual online training, and department– specific training.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field

  • Specific degree or post degree education/certification in healthcare related field, including healthcare compliance, quality, risk management preferred

  • Three years in healthcare operations experience

  • Experience in developing compliance program and educational materials

  • Experience in regulatory requirements preferred

  • Must obtain the Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or a Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) in within two years of hire

  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare compliance policies, standards and systems

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
