Driver Manager in Fort Worth, Texas at MidAmerica

MidAmerica Transport, under new ownership, management and in a new location, is seeking Driver Managers to oversee a fleet of vehicles and the drivers who operate them.

In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between recruiters, drivers and company operations. You will be responsible for scheduling routes, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with FMCSA/DOT, and managing driver performance and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigning loads, optimizing routes, and ensuring on-time deliveries
• Tracking vehicle maintenance and fuel costs
• Monitoring driver logs for hours of service
• Serving as the main point of contact for drivers
• Fostering a positive work environment to reduce turnover
• Coordinating with dispatch, safety, and recruiting
• Analyzing performance metrics such as revenue per truck

• At least 2 years of experience managing the logistics of CDL Class A drivers and the vehicle they operate
• In-depth knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations
• Prior experience as a CDL Class A driver is preferable
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Proficiency with TMS, ELD, and other trucking/transportation related software programs
• Ability and willingness to learn additional programs, systems, procedures and policies
