General summary/basic purpose of ULTRASOUND CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR

• Performs all the duties of an ultrasound technologist.
• Serves as liaison for student clinical affiliations for ultrasound program schools
• Maintains excellent relationships and adheres to contractual agreements with affiliated academic institutions
• Ensuring provision of a robust learning environment to promote the development of ultrasound technologists.
• Demonstrate commitment to the mission, vision and values of Sinai Health System, as well as to the profession of ultrasound.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• Associates Degree in Applied Science in Ultrasound
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 5 or more years’ experience as a Sonographer working in an ultrasound department.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• You must have the skills and knowledge required by the SDMS, ACR and ARDMS guidelines for the profession of a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Extensive sonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be done.
• Extensive clinical experience in providing sonography services and demonstrating the ability to mentor and support sonography students.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS or RVT) certification
• BLS
